A few words about Nikiana
The coastal settlement of Nikiana is located on the eastern side of Lefkada between its town and Nydri, while behind it dominates the imposing mountain of Skaros.
The privileged location of the settlement with its rich vegetation, beaches with crystal clear waters, easy access to the entire island and excellent tourist infrastructure make it a particularly popular destination.

A few words about Lefkada
Lefkada, the fourth largest island of the Ionian Islands, is famous for its heavenly sandy beaches with turquoise, crystal clear waters. Beaches awarded with blue flags that shock with their incomparable natural beauty.
On the western coastline of Lefkada are the internationally renowned beaches of Kathisma, Porto Katsiki and Egremnoi. The impressive Porto Katsiki beach with its steep white cliffs, wonderful sandy beach and turquoise waters is awarded as the best in Greece and one of the most famous in the Mediterranean. Other excellent beaches you will find in the west are Ammoglossa, Ai Giannis, Kastro, Gyra, Pefkoulia, Agios Nikitas and Mylos.
Going to the east and south side of Lefkada you will see amazing beaches with pebbles and crystal clear waters such as Lygia, Nikiana, Perigiali, Agiophylli, Poros and Vasiliki.
Cape Lefkata, the springs of Kerasia, the uniquely beautiful gorges of Melissa, Charadiatika and Dimosari with the waterfall of the same name, the Holy Monastery of Faneromeni, the famous park of the poets (Bosketto), the Venetian castle of Agia Mavra are some of the wonderful attractions you can visit.
Lefkada has ideal seas for sailing and a state-of-the-art marina capable of mooring 610 boats. Its beaches are a magnet for lovers of diving and water sports (skiing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, etc.) and its mountains for those who love hiking and mountain biking.
You can easily visit with day trips other seaside resorts in the area such as Preveza, Parga, Sivota etc. as well as other Ionian islands such as Kefalonia, Ithaca, Meganissi etc.
Try the products of the Lefkada land such as thyme honey, pastelia, mandolata, sumada, lentils from Egluvi, oil rolls, air salami and wine and buy textiles and embroidery.

Access to the island
Access to the island is easy and can be done by road through the floating drawbridge that connects it with Aitoloakarnania or by air from Athens, Thessaloniki, Crete, Europe to the international airport of Aktion (18km from the city of Lefkada). KTEL buses run daily to and from Lefkada.
